Artist and academic Ken Gonzales-Day discusses his research and art uncovering the often untold story of lynching in California. His work demonstrates how the violent act of lynching was used as a tool of racial hatred against many different groups, and outweighed white-on-white vigilantism by nearly two-to-one.
