The U.S. government has removed most children from a remote Border Patrol station in Texas near the border with Mexico following reports that more than 300 children were detained there and caring for each other with inadequate food, water and sanitation.
Only about 30 children remained at the station outside El Paso on Monday,
The Ferguson and LA Protest series were each show as part of Run Up, a solo exhibition of Gonzales-Day’s work at Luis De Jesus Los Angeles. The exhibition included a short film entitled Run Up, and restaged period imagery from a reenactment of a lynching from California’s turbulent past that was staged for the camera.
